Grey Cheek is a buck that we are deeply honored to have join our herd. Sired by Old Mountain Farm Darius Quinn- who is the littermate brother of Old Mountain Farm Cyrus Quinn: 2017 National Reserve Get of Sire and the 2018 National Get of Sire! Of course, Grey Cheek's dam is Old Mountain Farm Parti Favah VEEE 90, Cheryle Moore-Smith's "wiener goat". :)

We had to throw in a picture of Grey Cheek as a buckling. His genetic package is an absolute dream and his blue eyes and moon spots are just icing on the cake. How could we not love this guy??? Picture courtesy of Cheryle Moore-Smith of Old Mountain Farm.

Cheryle has nick-named Parti Favah her "wiener goat" because of her long body. Favah has a level topline, long dairy neck, and depth/ power. Favah combines this perfect conformation with a gorgeous well-attached udder. Her lateral attachments are to die for and her teats are well placed and easy to milk.

If pictures are worth a thousand words, just look at this picture of Darius Quinn! That uphill outline, rear leg set, and brisket extension are accented by his galaxy of moonspots. He is the littermate brother to Old Mountain Farm Cyrus Quinn: 2017 National Reserve Get of Sire and the 2018 National Get of Sire!

Old Mountain Farm Peris is basically the perfect miniature dairy goat! She combines perfect conformation with a well attached mammary system that is meant for production. Peris is Grand Dam to the 2016 ADGA National Champion
Junior Doe
&
Daughter of the Junior Champion Buck
at the 2008 AGS Nationals!
She will be 11 years old and is still producing beautiful offspring and looking her stunning self!

SG Whitbred Easy Street 2*M 2*D AR2273 was a beautiful and productive doe out of CH/ MCH Dawnland Tabby's Halifax 'E and a Old Mountain Farm On My Merry Way 1*M *D AR2024. She had an extremely smooth foreudder and well placed / plump teats that are a hand milker's dream. She LA'ed at 88 as a dry doe at 9 years of age and earned an AGS CH win as well as an ADGA CH win.

Top and bottom, this pedigree is loaded with power house milkers that start with his dam. I bought him solely for his potential to improve milk production in my herd and was so pleased that his conformation was not lacking. He has a beautiful topline, sharp withers, straight legs, and nice brisket extension. Belle was a little shy when he arrived but is very inquisitive and sweet. Between his pedigree, conformation, and sweet personality, Belle is the full package.

Sugar Moon F Belle Fleur 5*M, Elite is an ADGA Top Ten producer. What makes her even more special than the fact that she produces loads of milk, though, is that her udder is well attached with beautifully placed/ easy to milk teats. The combination of production and conformation is exactly what we were looking for to move our own herd ahead.

Corde Du Roi's dam was lost during his birth which made him a very special gift for his breeder. Laura recounted that she used to cry when she would hold him but soon that changed to laughter due to his sweet antics. I knew that when Laura sent Corde my way, it was the greatest compliment she could give. He was her pride and joy- the culmination of many years of breeding goats. Corde's pedigree has many well known Nigerian Dwarf goats that we all know and love. To see him in person is to love him even more. He stands on straight legs and is dairy/ correct! His rear leg set has such amazing width and his escutcheon has a cathedral arch. This boy is a stunner!

Bengaline was one of the gorgeous daughters out of Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby +++*S ++*B. From her dairy character to her well attached/ beautiful udder, this doe had it all! She was lost far too young after birthing a single buckling. Laura considered her to be the best doe ever produced in her breeding program.

Sired out of Lost Valley Legacy *S*B and out of Kyeema Ridge MS Black Shadow. As if the combination of Lost Valley and Rosasharn genetics aren't enough, this little guy's dam is out of Morning Star NR Moonshine- a littermate brother to a beloved goat that used to reside in my former Moxie Blues Farm (Morning Star NR Rosebud). This connection makes Maritime's Legacy feel like a long lost family member.

One just has to look at Black Shadow's udder (not filled in the picture above) to see the capacity, amazing MSL, and plumb/ plump milkable teats. This collapsible udder is a dream to milk and one that I'd love to see in future progeny at American Jewell Farm.
Receiving her Superior Genetics designation, Rosasharn Peppercorn is a gorgeous doe with a beautiful well attached udder. Again, the medial suspensory ligament is noteworthy as are the plumb teats with large orifices. Photo of SG Rosasharn KB Pepper Corn courtesy of Kyeema Ridge Farm.
A heavy linebreeding on Gay-Mor RA Kingwood ++*S, Laura Whitlock of Dawnland Farm writes of Legacy:
"Legacy represents the best of the best of the old time Nigerian lines that were pivotal in developing these little goats into dairy animals. Although it seems like yesterday in my mind's eye, many of Legacy's forebears date back to the 1990's. Legacy was used for 2018 kids--and his two daughters and two sons are stunning. It's obvious that he is a strong general appearance buck with all of his kids showing improvement in width, top lines, legs/feet. Although Legacy is a small and refined buck, probably due to the degree of his line breeding, he adds stature and strength to his offspring." We have one of those daughters (Dawnland America Jewell) along with Mariner Legacy and are thrilled to watch her grow here at American Jewell Farm.
I asked Amy Kowalik to describe Nickita and this is what she shared: "My Nickita girl is powerful, yet dairy, beautifully blended on all areas of the score card with sharp shoulders, long/ level body, beautifully attached mammary system that is very snug but capacious, beautiful medial with great fore and rear udder attachments." Born on the day of the Kentucky Derby, this moon-spotted/ gold and white guy's dam was a 7 year old first freshener who delivered quads about one week early. It was a complicated delivery and we are so thankful to have this sole survivor join our humble herd. His dam's first freshening udder was capacious, well attached, and her teats were well placed/ milked like dream. Derby had two doting mothers for the first 8 weeks of his life (2 legged and 4 legged) and has fluorished. Derby has certainly won our hearts and we are excited to continue watching him develop.

Beans was my souvenir that I brought home from a trip back to Maine. He is a line breeding on CH Weedy Tavern Farm Lilly LA93 EEEE! I love everything about his dam, grand dam, and pedigree so it wasn't hard to fall in love with this unicorn goat. Yes, he is also moon-spotted, blue-eyed, and polled which is all icing on the cake. The udders, show records, and LA scores that are behind this dude are just the best. I am eternally grateful for the chance to bring this baby home.

As a 2 year old, Tiny Angels RNB Sassaneq became a finished champion! I was fortunate enough to meet her in person and she was breath taking. Her owner, Abby Schofield of Valley's-Edge Farm loves her doe CH Weedy Tavern Farm Lilly, but she says that Sassy might actually be nicer. We were fortunate enough to be in the right place and the right time when Sassy kidded with triplet bucklings.
I have a handful of does that I have a crush on and Lilly is one of those does. With an LA score of 93, it is clear that she is more than just flashy. Lilly's great grand sire (Morning Star NR Moonshine) was littermate brother to a doe that I owned and loved immensely. This line has done amazingly well!
Great Grand Dam on both sides of the pedigree, Blu Bonnet is another beautiful daughter of Weedy Tavern Farm Lilly!
MaineSecondWind Levita has a LA score of 91 and has that consistent body type that I love from these lines. Like Weedy Tavern Farm Lilly, she is also a grand daughter of Morning Star NR Moonshine.

Gideon was delivered to me 10 minutes after I had dropped my youngest son off at MEPS for Boot Camp. He was a 3 month old bottle baby and I continued bottlefeeding him to help his transition to my farm (probably, mostly, to help my transition to having an empty nest). I only mention any of this to share what he means to me, in addition to what I have to offer below.
From what I consider to be milk production royalty, Gideon's granddams are none other than: SG Sugar Moon V Zuzanna 4*M (Top Ten ADGA production list 2017, 2018, and 2019) and SG Sugar Moon RB Gianna 2*M (Top Ten ADGA production list 2018 and 2019). His grandsire, Sugar Moon NS Ezekial *B, has the 3rd highest living estimated transmitting ability 2:1 (ETA 2:1 +264).
Gideon is a beautiful solid chocolate buckling who is both long and wide. He has the dairy strength that I love and will be a treasured part of our breeding program for years to come.

Lobstah is a cream colored buckling that is built like a powerhouse. Born as one of quads with two DOA, he felt like an immediate blessing. His dam's udder is one of the most capacious in our herd and it is so well attached! I am really excited to use him as a herdsire in our breeding program.

Angel came to us bred and delivered quads with some veterinary assistance. Two kids were DOA so we were so grateful for the healthy doeling/buckling pair that were born healthy. Her pre-fresh udder gave us a preview of her large/ well-placed teats but were we ever surprised to see her udder after kidding! She has the most capacious udder in our herd and I'm happy to say that it is also well attached. As such, we've retained both her buckling and doeling.
Mostly Rosasharn with a dash of Castle Rock lines, this buck is not only beautiful to behold but comes from goats that have performed well in both show and milk production. I love his topline, length of body, and general dairy strength.

When I saw this little beauty on Alesia's FB page, I tried so hard to look away. Sugar Moon genetics are an important part of my plan for the direction of my breeding program. When she updated the post with a picture of his dam's udder, I knew I needed him.

Walnut Mtn is not a herd that I am familiar with which was part of the reason that I first looked past this buckling. Then, when Alesia posted a photo of his dam's udder, I fell in love. I really prefer hand milking and large/ easy to milk teats are what I'm hoping to breed for. When you look back in Twyla's pedigree, you find Castle Rock and Buttin' Heads animals.
